Refresh your Vancouver Home for the Holidays
Refresh your Vancouver home for the holidays. What an exciting part of the year. Our readers found the Tis’ the Season blog extremely helpful so we decided to create another holiday blog.
Looking for new ways to deck the halls?
Here are 5 unique holiday decorations to include in your home.
1. Homemade Wreath
Instead of the traditional greenery add citrus fruits to your wreath this year.
Real Simple Online Magazine recommends the following:
Start with a circular piece of florist’s foam, then use wooden florist’s picks to secure large items, such as oranges, first. Once you have secured your large fruits continue to add smaller fruits such as kumquats and clementi.
2. Add a touch of holiday to a cake platter
Place ready made ornaments on a cake platter bedded with a nest of leaves. This holiday trick makes for a great simple centre piece.
3. Add lush greenery
Lush greenery draped around the house, especially doorways, creates an inviting atmosphere and a woodsy aroma.
4. Create your own chandelier
Group together old fashion ornaments and hang them from your ceiling. Your family and friends will be “wow’d” upon arrival.
5. Add glamour to your champagne flutes
Tie left over ribbons around your champagne flute. Be creative and add different colours for each flute for all your guests.
Holidays are the best time to sit back and enjoy your home with family and friends. View our Holiday Home Secrets for a cozy holiday season. Don’t stress out about the little knick nacks, everything will work out wonderfully.
