Vancouver Townhome Renovation
A young couple moved back to Vancouver after living out East with a child on the way. They purchased a large and older townhome to raise a family in. The Vancouver townhome has terrific views but needed a renovation to update the look and accommodate their growing family. They enlisted our help, and here are some of the changes we made.
Top Floor
- Beams sandblasted in Living Room to expose natural material
- New, smaller fireplace to give more space in the room with a niche for built-in TV
- Added built-in storage
- Glass railings to maximize view as you come upstairs
- New Flooring
Third Floor
- Removed walls to open up space
- Added beam to move closet to an exterior wall to open space up
- Removed Kitchen Peninsula
- Changed Kitchen layout to more functional/open with island
- Added 2nd Kitchen sink
- Updated powder room
- New glass railings and modern handrails
- New Flooring
Second Floor
- Enlarged bathrooms to make more space/usable in ensuite
- Changed closet bi-folds to sliders to give more space in the bedroom
- Removed extra door to basement to create more open feel on stairs
- New plumbing fixtures & finishes for both bathrooms
- New Flooring
